Steps that may indicate the source are: 1 Disable all add-ons, note results, 2 disable pop-up blockers, note results, 3 Disable anti-spyware, note results.

I had the same problem. The process will then start to remove IE 7. Registry will be updated. The following will then occur, Run process after uninstall, perform clean up etc. You should see the message IE 7 has been removed, restart computer to complete uninstall.
